The Superhero Cockroach

Once upon a time, there was a curious girl named Ditta. One sunny day, Ditta was playing in her garden  when she accidentally stepped on something small. She quickly realized it was a cockroach and exclaimed, “Oops, sorry, little guy!” 

To her surprise, the cockroach looked up and introduced himself with a cheerful voice, “No worries! I’m Crunch Cockroach. Nice to meet you!”

"Hi, Captain Crunch! You're still so cheerful even though I accidentally stepped on you!" Ditta exclaimed with curiosity. "How do you stay so strong and happy?" she asked, eyes wide with wonder.

Captain Crunch said, “We cockroaches are like superheroes! Even when dinosaurs disappeared, we stayed strong. We have a special shell on our bodies called an exoskeleton. It’s like super armor!”

Ditta’s eyes got big. “Wow! That’s so cool!”

Captain Crunch continued, “If something really heavy falls on us, we can still survive. We can live without water for a week, without food for a month, and even without our heads for more than a week!”

Ditta was amazed. “How do you breathe then?”

Captain Crunch smiled, “We have tiny holes in our bodies to breathe. We don’t have blood like you, so we don’t bleed. And guess what? We can swim for 20 minutes without breathing. We’re like little miracles!”

Ditta giggled, “You really are a superhero, Captain Crunch!”

From that day on, Ditta always remembered the magical story of Captain Crunch, the amazing cockroach superhero.
